Come on John, Flowery speaches, and vague generalities may work with your friends across the isle but conservatives require more substance.  Telling us that both the conservatives and himself come from principled positions without any further explanations is not going to cut it.  You know the problems that conservatives have with your record.  Come let us reason together, tell us what principles you follow to come to the conclusions and positions that you do.  Conservatives are conservative because we are willing to base our lives on solid principles and reason.  Convince us that the positions you take are based on principles and not on feelings and emotions, as our good intentioned friends across the isle do.

 

What is the principle that you follow that makes you come to the conclusion that allowing 12 million under educated law breakers stay and live here ahead of the millions of others that would come here legally with assets that would be a boon to our economy and society?  What principled possition leads you to the conclusion that lets those who still wave the flag of Mexico and never have the intention of pledging their allegance to this country when there are people everywhere throughout the world who would risk life and limb for the chance to call themselves an American?

 

What is the principle that gives you the idea that taking away the right of a private citizen, to use his own money, to put forth his own ideas, anytime he wants?  What principle are you following when you restrict the right of a private citizen to use his own money to back a candidate that he thinks has good ideas for the country?  Have you not assured that only the rich can now run for public office?

 

Explain to us John the principle you are following when you talk about the rich getting too many tax breaks and the middle class needing more.  When is it ever a good idea to take away from the productive of the society to give to the unproductive?  What incentive do the producers of society have to produce, invent, develop if you put limits on the amount of profit they can make, and tell them the more you make the larger percentage we will take from you.  You speak of profit as if it is a dirty word.  You talk about the money Mit Romney made in the private sector with contempt, as if he has done something wrong.  I think you have been in Washington a little too long John.  When was the last time you produced something of value?

 

Conservatives ARE willing to listen to reason John, so explain to us the principle YOU follow to come to the decisions you make where they differ from most other conservatives.  Dont resort to getting angry and calling names.  This is a tactic of the left in the country, and if you want to convince us that you have not taken leftist positions on the issues on which we differ, dont employ their methods.  Put away the emotional frilly talk of the left.  Dont do something solely because it feels good and right, we have all seen where policies based on emotion have begun to lead us.  If you want to see what our country will be like if we continue on that path?  Look at western Europe.

 

I love America, and I know you do too.  Step down off of the throne of Washington and come and converse with us.  Come and convince us that the positions you take are based on solid proven principles.  Principles our Founding Fathers used to reason with, and create this great country we now live in.
